Holiday Itinerary
UK clients depart on overnight flight arriving in Buenos Aires, Argentina, early morning on day 1.
Day 1 Sun. Explore Buenos Aires, two nights in the capital.
Day 2 Guided tour of the city.
Days 3,4 Fly to Salta, explore the nearby region.
Day 5 Cross over the Andes into Chile, and the Atacama Desert.
Day 6 Visit the Moon Valley, outside of San Pedro de Atacama.
Days 7-9 Cross into Bolivia and across the Uyuni salt flats.
Day 10 Travel by private vehicle to La Paz.
Days 11,12 Explore La Paz.
Day 13 Drive to Lake Titicaca.
Day 14 Visit the floating Uros Islands and optional trip to the pre-Inca site of Sillustani.
Day 15 Drive to Cusco.
Day 16 City tour of Cusco, including the site of Sacsayhuaman.
Day 17 Full day excursion into the Sacred Valley, overnight in the valley.
Day 18 Train to Machu Picchu, overnight in nearby village.
Day 19 Optional re-entry to the site, afternoon return to Cusco.
Day 20 Fly to Lima.
Day 21 Depart for international flight or extension.
UK clients arrive home the following day, Sun.
Trip Profile
Transport: 2 flights (longest 2 hrs), 2 train journeys (2 + 3½ hrs each), 7 road journeys (longest 10 hrs including stops).
Accommodation: Small and friendly simple hotels, with private bathroom. In the Uyuni salt flats area, basic dormitory accommodation with shared facilities.
Meals: Breakfast daily, full board days 7 and 8. Lunch day 9.
