This fascinating 3-night camping trip is suited to those with a spirit of adventure, who are energetic and reasonably fit.
Kayak around the tropical islands of the Kuna Yala Archipelago, home the the indigenous Kuna indians. The area boasts idyllic white-sand beaches and lush rainforest with abundant wildlife. The region's best preserved coral reef offers fantastic snorkelling. Aquatic life includes various rays, moray eel, nurse shark and an array of tropical varieties including parrot fish.
Travelling by kayak allows you to gain access to the more remote and less visited corners of the archipelago. You can even visit our flourishing TICOS project in Panama and see how your carbon-offset donations are making a difference to the local community, helping them install solar panels in health centres, schools and village centres.
You will have the opportunity to meet with the fascinating Kuna people and learn about their culture and way of life. The Sichirtupo experience is a community managed sustainable tourism program that benefits more than six communities in the area. The Kuna see eco-tourism as a means to provide a sustainable use of marine resources.
